Cell phones in class issue

The article itself was well written i think.  It wasn't all out against cell phone use in class and saying thats its the devil in technology form and it wasn't just for it either.  It adressed both sides of the argument and offered examples and experiences teachers and students have had with cell phones in class.  I think this issue is really simple actually.  Texting when anyone is talking to you is disrespectful because there is no way you can actually hear what the person is saying to you when you're busy talking to your friends about something else.  If you were having a conversation with one of your friends face to face, I doubt you would be texting somone else at the same time.  So why do that in class when the teacher is teaching?  Show some respect and actually listen to what the teacher is saying, because it probably is pretty important.  But having said that, I think teachers should recognize the fact that students will want to talk to their friends and maybe let them use their phone when they're doing in class work.  This is the student's time to get their work done and if they want to use that time texting their friends, thats's up to them.  The only time they're wasting is their own.  Cell phone use in class isn't that bad, but there's a time and place for it.

lets start from the very begining

My name is Cole Churchward.  I was born in Sudbury Ontario, lived there for about 2 months then moved to Brampton.  I lived there until I was in grade 6, when we moved to Tavistock. 
I really like playing guitar and singing and music in general.  Its a great way to escape and to just chill out.  I took writers craft in hopes to improve my lyric writing and maybe write some great songs of my own.  Other than music, i love skateboarding, golf, adventuring in different cool places discovering new things and seeing new places, but most of all i love cheese.  You can mix any food with cheese and it will taste amazing.  Cheese just improves everything.
